Consignment Policies

All consignments are by appointment only. No drop-ins, please. At your appointment, you may bring up to 15 freshly laundered, undamaged items plus one additional bag of accessories for consideration. Please bring items on hangers or neatly folded/placed in a bin. NO TRASH BAGS!

Accepted items are consigned for 60 days. Flipped! sets the price of each item based on our expertise regarding what that particular item in that particular condition sells for on the current resale market. For special vintage, luxury, or handmade items, the consignor and owner of Flipped! may set an agreed-upon price.

Flipped! periodically runs promotional sales events to attract customers and move merchandise with markdowns made at the sole discretion of the owner and staff of Flipped! All consigned items are subject to an automatic discount up to 20-30% after 30 days and 50% after 45 days.

Consignors receive credit of 40% of the final selling price and Flipped! retains 60%. Consignor credit can be used in trade at the boutique or consignors may request a payout via check or Venmo. Payouts are available the 15th of the month following the date credit is issued. Trade credit can be used any time. Any consignor credit issued will be kept on file for a period of ONE YEAR. After one year, any unclaimed credit will revert back to the boutique.

If you’re attached to your items, please don’t consign them. Our job is to sell the items you consign and make you some money on items you no longer wear or use, and that’s what we do!

All items are sold “as is” and all sales are final. No returns or exchanges are allowed.

We do our very best to safeguard your items but are not responsible for items that rarely, but unfortunately become lost, stolen, or damaged. We suggest that your items be insured under your own homeowner’s policy.  Please check your items carefully before bringing them in for consignment. Any Items found to be defective (stains, odors, broken zippers, holes, etc…) after being taken in on consignment will be donated without further notice to the consignor. There is a $1.00 per item fee for any items requiring laundering or mending. All items consigned must be authentic. The consignor shall be responsible for all legal fees if knock-off (fraudulent) items are consigned and the boutique is sued.

At the end of your 60-day consignment term, any unsold items will either be donated or returned to you depending on which option you chose at the time of consignment. If you have chosen NOT to donate, you have 7 days from the end of your term to pick up any unsold items. (ex. items consigned 9/30 should be picked up 11/30, etc…) Any items remaining in the boutique after 7 days will be donated (we are small and unable to store items).

Important:  Flipped! does not contact consignors to advise them of store credit or pick-up date (non-donators). Consignors are responsible for keeping track of their dates and either calling or returning to the boutique within 7 days after expiration date to reclaim unsold items and within a year to claim consignor credit.

Please give us a courtesy call a day or two in advance of your pick up date so we can have your items and credit ready when you come in (and save us both some time and frustration).
